Picture this: It's 1962. You're an unfulfilled trophy wife, meeting her husband at a restaurant for a rare night out. There's been an unspoken tension in your marriage and you're trying to mend it, even though you're uncertain of its source. No matter the cause, your husband has been distant and distracted lately. Is he unhappy? Has he fallen out of love? Is he (heaven forbid) having an affair? Or is it something deeper or more mysterious, like a hidden identity?
Most importantly, what will you wear?!
Our resident visual stylist, Geneva, re-created one of the looks from Mad Men, using a pale lilac lace dress, vintage aurora borealis crystal necklace & matching earrings, and a brown mouton jacket (we had a black mink jacket but it wasn't quite the right style.) We think it turned out quite well.
Here's the dress (coming soon to www.daisyfairbanks.com:)
And here's the reason Mrs. Don Draper was looking so enraptured:
true that, she's so beautiful..

I don't know about the moderation on/off , but I'll comment on every post I feel is good , and I have something to say , but I personally prefer open commenting sites. Onto the post , I am not a fan of fashion but I have to admit , I always liked to go out with a women like her , wearing stuff and jewelries like the 60-70s women.

This is a typical dress for a "Stepford Wife". The whole image created is great. Too bad we don't know the answer: is he cheating? has he fallen out of love? Only time will tell :)
