Because I like to keep my finger on the pulse of what is happening four weeks ago, I'd like to share a few photos from a little trip I took in March with my friend Pam of Glamoursurf, to the Vintage Fashion Expo at the Concourse in San Francisco. She blogged about it first, as I knew she would because she is much more organized than I. Plus, I have the fantastic excuse of having come down with the flu the very next day, so I've only just now got around to uploading and editing the pictures. Which is why I'm bringing it up now. Because it's never too late to share. Besides, it's about vintage, so these photos are Vintage March 2010. I'm just sayin.
These ladies were looking very chic in Mod 60s dresses. I complimented them on their sunglasses, but they didn't say anything. Maybe they didn't understand. I think they were French.
It was nice to see many attendees dressed head to toe in vintage, like Myra here:
There was so much jewelry, some dealers had to keep it in boxes to prevent it from flying out into the aisles like popcorn.
This lovely booth had amazing vintage purses and jewelry. I loved the hat mannequins, floating above like vintage angels.
This is Laura Collins of DivineElegance, from whom I purchased a gorgeous Bonnie Cashin mohair coat.
And though I didn't get the greatest photo, I fell in love with everything from Susan Galvin at Foxy Couture. Her booth was packed wall to wall with nothing but the best designer vintage. The upper wall is solid Pucci.
Pam and I had a fantastic time, and I'll definitely try to attend future shows. It was wonderful to see so much quality stock and like-minded people in one place.
